About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Property Manager to take full responsibility for the management, maintenance, and financial performance of a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling tenant relationships, overseeing property upkeep, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations--all while delivering excellent service and maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, responding to enquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Handle tenant complaints and mediate disputes to ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction.
Manage the end-to-end leasing process, including property viewings, tenant applications, and lease preparation.
Conduct routine property inspections and ensure timely coordination of maintenance and repair work.
Oversee and manage contracts with service providers (e.g. maintenance, cleaning, security, landscaping).
Prepare and manage property budgets, monitor income and expenses, and ensure operations remain cost-effective.
Collect rent and service charges and manage accounts receivable.
Generate regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
Maintain accurate records, including leases, maintenance logs, inspections, and financial documents.
Ensure full compliance with all local authorities and compliance property management regulations.
Develop and implement procedures and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
About You
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in property management (required).
At least 3 years of experience in customer service or tenant-facing roles (preferred).
Strong working knowledge of property management principles, leasing processes, and landlord-tenant law.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Proficient in relevant software and tools for property and financial management.
Requirements
Valid UK Driving Licence (required).
