Property Manager
located at Deakin's Yard, 22 Brunswick Street, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST 1HH. A luxury development offering high quality studios and en suite rooms as well as amazing onsite amenities.
The Property Manager is responsible for 273-bed student accommodation, working along side the reception and concierge service.
The role will be customer-facing, working with clients to resolve general issues and to comply with any health and safety requirements.
An important part of the role for the Property Manager is to build a strong relationship with contractors and resolve challenges within a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities: Property Management
Oversee the day-to-day management of 273 apartments, ensuring all individual and communal areas are maintained to the highest standards.
Organise key tasks such as property inspections, maintenance requests, and compliance checks (e.g. gas safety certificates, EICRs, EPC's ).
Manage escalated property issues, including disputes and complex maintenance requirements, with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Legal
Ensure all processes comply with the latest lettings and property management legislation (Safety compliance certs , GDPR ).
Maintain accurate and compliant records at all times.
Conduct regular property inspections and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Client Relations
Identify opportunities to grow the property management portfolio, attracting new landlords.
Build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors, acting as a trusted advisor for all property-related matters.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Performance
Manage budgets and expenditures.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Service Excellence
Ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained throughout property management process.
Handle complex landlord or tenant issues, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the customer experience.
Key Skills & Experience
Experience at property management.
Legislation knowledge and understanding.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
Proficient in using new IT software and systems ( Property Management software).
Full UK driving license.
Knowledge of key compliance areas, such as health and safety.
Desirable Skills:
Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) experience would be welcomed.
