Catalent is currently recruiting for a Proposal Lead to join our Bathgate site. As a key member of our Client Relationship team, the Proposal Lead plays a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end proposal process. This includes leading cross-functional teams to scope opportunities, coordinate stakeholder reviews, and deliver high-quality, timely quotations to clients. The role also encompasses pricing strategy, margin analysis, and ensuring proposals align with both technical feasibility and business objectives.
The Role:
Proposal Management
Lead the development and delivery of accurate, executable quotations and QARs.
Coordinate with Project Management, Business Development (BD), Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure proposals meet client expectations and internal margin targets.
Manage stakeholder input and approvals throughout the proposal lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Facilitate communication across departments to gather technical scope, costing data, and operational input.
Work with Operations to identify optimal and cost-effective development, manufacturing, and packaging solutions.
Liaise with other Catalent sites as needed to support global proposal efforts.
Client Engagement
Communicate directly with client contacts and participate in client meetings to support proposal discussions.
Respond to client feedback on pricing and proposal content.
Maintain customer-specific templates and documentation as required.
Commercial Strategy
Collaborate with BD, Operations, and Finance to develop value-based pricing strategies.
Ensure proposals align with global processes and support broader business objectives.
Contribute to team initiatives and process improvement projects.
The Candidate:
Experience of preparing comprehensive proposals/tender bids
Familiarity with cGMP and FDA-regulated environments is desirable
Strong understanding of contract development
Strong client-facing skills with a commitment to exceeding expectations
Effective verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with solid finance and problem-solving capabilities
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other relevant software
