We are looking for an experienced Proposition Manager to support the definition, management, and delivery of all our propositions. Reporting to the Group Proposition and Strategy Director this prominent role will help us execute on our Group Strategy to power financial advisers' businesses through insight and integrated tools, services and investment solutions that help them to differentiate their own client propositions.
What you'll do
Work with the Group Proposition and Strategy Director to shape future propositions through engagement with senior stakeholders, clients, and external experts.
Prioritise new propositions, develop business cases, and define solutions for delivery internally or via third-party providers.
Lead the design and development of new propositions and products, while improving existing offerings.
Validate propositions through stakeholder feedback and testing to maintain clarity and customer focus.
Collaborate with Change teams and Benchmark Digital to implement clear value propositions and product direction.
Partner with Sales and Relationship teams to understand customer needs and inform proposition design.
Promote Benchmark values and behaviours across teams and partners.
Communicate the Benchmark advantage for each proposition internally and externally.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide timely, high-quality analysis for decision-making.
Represent Benchmark at business development seminars, sponsored events, and industry forums.
Develop business cases outlining financial benefits, customer impact, and revenue potential.
Work with Marketing to deliver effective proposition communications.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in business.
Extensive experience in Financial Services, particularly Financial Planning, IFA, and wrap/platform markets.
Strong background in proposition management and understanding of Financial Planning principles, including drivers, valuation criteria, and customer segmentation frameworks.
Proven ability to develop market-leading propositions with strong commercial awareness.
Strategic and creative thinker, capable of delivering short-, medium-, and long-term plans.
Excellent networking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, plus organisational, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems and related processes.
Valid UK driving licence.
The base
You'll be based at Benchmark's Head Office on the Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham, West Sussex, with regular visits to other offices, including Schroders' headquarters in London.
