Their team is passionate about combining creativity, strategy and craftsmanship, to bring physical retail concepts to life.
They are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prototyper / Acrylic Fabricator, to join their creative fabrication team.
This hands-on role involves transforming conceptual designs into functional prototypes using acrylic and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, a problem-solving mindset and an eye for quality and precision.
Job Role
Fabricate prototypes and production components using acrylics and other materials (e.g., ABS, polycarbonate, wood, metal)
Operate and maintain shop equipment including table saws, laser cutters, CNC routers, sanders, heat benders, and polishers
Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and sketches to create accurate prototypes
Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to enhance design functionality and manufacturability
Assemble complex components with a high level of precision and visual detail
Finish and polish parts using techniques such as flame polishing, sanding, buffing, and gluing
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols
Support sourcing of materials and suggest improvements to prototyping workflows
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in acrylic fabrication or model-making
In-depth understanding of material characteristics and workshop safety standards
Proficient in working with adhesives, fasteners, and plastic-specific finishing tools
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Familiarity with laser cutting, CNC machining, or 3D printing is a plus
Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation for accurate fabrication
Creative problem solver with the ability to iterate rapidly on designs
Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team environment
High attention to craftsmanship and detail in both form and function
