Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer with a sound background in manual machining to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will understand engineering principles and be able to apply their practical skills to create Prototype Jigs, Fixtures and Manufacturing Tooling as designed by our Project Engineers.

These physical items will aid both our Workshop and CNC Section and greatly assist our Design Team in creating what is required for serial production. This role is varied and will become an integral part of liaison between Design and Production as we seek to improve manufacturing processes further.

We also require the successful candidate to undertake machine changes as required by the Production department and to assess new product designs as they progress from Design to Manufacture.

Primary Duties

Prototype Jig manufacture and CMM Measurement Manual machining of Tooling / Fixtures as required by the Design Team. Apply Pipe Bender changes as required by Production - (Full Training will be provided) Prototype production of New Designs and provision of feedback to Design Team

Additional Duties

Creation of Design for Manufacture documentation such as Instruction documents and Inspection sheets Drawing and document changes required by the Design Team Create and modify CAD drawings required to aid the above Creation of some KPI reporting for the business

Requirements

Sound and demonstrable experience in using manual milling machines and lathes Good understanding of Engineering drawings Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment that seeks improvement and growth.

Desirable

CAD drafting experience CMM use and experience Previous Design for Manufacture experience CNC Machining experience

Pay: 30,000.00-33,000.00 per year
