We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to support the development and well-being of children within our educational and childcare programmes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with early childhood education, and a passion for mentoring young learners. Duties
Provide personalised guidance and support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development
Assist with speech therapy activities and behavioural management strategies tailored to individual needs
Support children with special educational requirements, including those needing applied behaviour analysis or tutoring in core subjects such as maths and literacy
Organise engaging activities that promote physical education, toddler care, and preschool learning experiences
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt mentoring approaches accordingly
Proofread educational materials and assist in developing customised learning resources
Maintain a safe, organised environment conducive to learning and growth
Offer mentorship in areas such as childcare, early childhood education, and teaching physical education
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential
Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, special education practices, and behaviour management strategies is highly desirable
Proven ability to tutor or mentor children in core subjects including maths and literacy
Experience with applied behaviour analysis (ABA) or early childhood development programmes will be advantageous
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to foster positive relationships with children and colleagues are vital
Previous roles involving teaching physical education or toddler care are beneficial but not mandatory
Formal qualifications in early childhood education, special education, or related fields will be considered an asset
Mentos to have access to own vehicle with business insurance or willing to gain business insurance. Mentors also on DBS update service or willing to register with DBS update service.

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
