We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to support the development and well-being of children within our educational and childcare programmes. Duties
Provide personalised mentoring to children, supporting their social, emotional, and educational development
Assist with early childhood education activities, including preschool programmes and toddler care
Implement teaching strategies related to speech therapy, maths, and physical education to enhance learning outcomes
Support behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress and tailor mentoring approaches accordingly
Offer tutoring in subjects such as maths or literacy, adapting methods to individual needs
Utilise applied behaviour analysis techniques to support children with special educational needs
Proofread educational materials and assist with curriculum development where necessary
Engage children through mentoring activities that promote confidence, independence, and social skills
Maintain clear communication with colleagues and families regarding children's progress
Requirements
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, special education needs, and behaviour management techniques
Experience or training in speech therapy, applied behaviour analysis, or tutoring is advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for mentoring young learners
Ability to organise activities that support physical education and developmental milestones
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or related fields are preferred but not essential
Proven ability to proofread educational content accurately and efficiently
Experience with teaching toddlers or preschool-aged children will be considered an asset
