We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our Workshop Team at our head office in Stocklake, Aylesbury, Bucks
Our workshop is responsible for the maintenance and repair of our large fleet of coaches and smaller vehicles. As part of the workshop team, you will need to utilise your technical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair our vehicles to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
As part of our team of Technicians, you will be reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, as well as our General Manager and Transport Managers. In addition, you will work closely with the rest of the Workshop Team, our Yard Operatives and our Drivers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily safety inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements
Identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake repairs
Attend vehicles roadside if required
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and manual methods
Repair or replace faulty components, including engine, gearboxes, axles, suspension and electrical systems.
Prepare vehicles for MOTs.
Ensure compliance with DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) regulations
Ensure all vehicles meet roadworthiness standards and adhere to PSV operator regulations.
Must Haves
Minimum level 3 NVQ
Full UK Driving License
Previous experience in a similar role
The ability to analyse information, multitask and solve general queries.
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a variety of people.
Great organisational skills.
Nice to Have
PSV License, including CPC
Previous experience working with HGV/Coaches
Knowledge and understanding of coaches and coach travel
Hours & Salary
Late shift 1300-2130 hrs (40 hr week)
Overtime available
20.00 per hour/25.00 per hour weekend overtime rate
