We are now seeking a skilled PSV Technician to join our dedicated workshop team. We operate a very busy and modern fleet of coaches operating locally, regionally and sometimes further afield. Our bus fleet operates a selection of local bus services, home to school and other contracted journeys. Our coach livery is gold which reflects the quality we aspire to and within our engineering team we are looking to achieve DVSA Earned Recognition standards.

As a PSV Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses and coaches to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with DVSA standards. You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs on a range of PSV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on the coach fleet in accordance with manufacturer and company standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults on PSV vehicles. Perform MOT preparation and safety inspections to DVSA guidelines. Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards accurately and timely. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure high fleet availability and minimal downtime. Assist with roadside breakdowns and recovery when necessary. Adhere to health and safety regulations, and ensure the workshop environment remains clean and safe. Keep up to date with new technology and training as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications

NVQ Level 3/City&Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or similar qualification). Proven experience as a mechanic/technician working on PSVs or HGVs. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Full UK driving licence (Category D licence desirable but not essential). Understanding of DVSA regulations and safety inspection procedures. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable

IRTEC certification or willingness to obtain. Air conditioning and electrical systems experience. Experience using diagnostic tools and software.
