Job Description

We are looking to recruit a part time Band 7 Psychological Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team on a substantive, working 30 hours per week. The post is based at Chatterton House in Kings Lynn and serves the population of West Norfolk. The Psychology Resource within the West Adult CMHT is well embedded and contains a number of professionals including Clinical Psychology, CBT therapists, DBT therapists, Art Therapy, Clinical Associate Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists. We would welcome Psychological Therapists trained in a relational model of therapy to balance the existing compliment in the workforce.



This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the care of adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties, including relational challenges, within a multi-disciplinary secondary care setting.



You will be joining a diverse and skilled team with competencies and accreditations in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies. The role is essential in maintaining continuity of psychological input and supporting the wider MDT during a period of increased service demand and development.



Main Duties of the role:



This is a varied and dynamic role suited to a practitioner with clinical confidence and flexibility. Key responsibilities include:



Conducting assessments for therapy suitability.

Delivering individual and group psychological interventions.

Providing psychological consultation and clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Contributing to teaching and training for staff across the service.

Attending and actively participating in MDT meetings, offering psychological perspectives to inform care planning.

Supporting the psychology team in sustaining high standards of care and service delivery .



Training in a variety of evidence-based psychological therapies is highly desirable.
