Psychological Therapist





We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Psychological Therapist to join our busy Community Mental Health Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The post is based at the City Anchorage, Julian Hospital, Bowthorpe Road in Norwich.



This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the care of adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties, including relational challenges, within a multi-disciplinary secondary care setting.



You will be joining a diverse and skilled team with competencies and accreditations in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies. The role is essential in maintaining continuity of psychological input and supporting the wider MDT during a period of increased service demand and development.




Main duties of the job




Main Duties of the role:





This is a varied and dynamic role suited to a practitioner with clinical confidence and flexibility. Key responsibilities include:


Conducting assessments for therapy suitability. Delivering individual and group psychological interventions. Providing psychological consultation and clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary colleagues. Contributing to teaching and training for staff across the service. Attending and actively participating in MDT meetings, offering psychological perspectives to inform care planning. Supporting the psychology team in sustaining high standards of care and service delivery during the fixed-term period.

Training in a variety of evidence-based psychological therapies is highly desirable.

Qualifications




Essential criteria




Health or Social Care professional qualification RMN, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent 2 Postgraduate diploma in CBT, DBT, CAT or equivalent #

Experience




Essential criteria




Documentary evidence of continuing professional development Group work in mental Health Training and ability to deliver other therapeutic approaches e.g. DBT, EMDR, IPT

Desirable criteria




Audit and research Procedures Service development #

Skills




Essential criteria




Able to communicate effectively with a range of individuals, clients, professionals and organisations Work autonomously and set down priorities and practice effective time management #

Knowledge




Essential criteria




Specialist knowledge of CAT/CBT protocols and treatments. Awareness of safeguarding principals' Understanding of the principles of clinical governance #
