SEN Teaching Assistant



*Paid 480 per week

*Starting September!

*Free training in Safeguarding and Autism Support

*Graduate Teaching Assistant

*Support children with SEN

*Monday-Friday - 35 hrs per week

*Long-term role for the full academic year

SEN TA -- Person Specification



*A 2:1 or above degree

*Experience working with children, not necessarily in a school

*Knowledge of SEN/Previous experience supporting children with additional needs

*Spark, energy and enthusiastic personality

*Easy to work with and a good sense of humour!

SEN Teaching Assistant -- The Role

Responsibilities



Support children with autism in their learning and development through tailored teaching strategies. Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet each child's unique needs. Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social skills and emotional well-being. Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's progress and any concerns. Engage in activities that encourage cognitive and physical development, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
This is a perfect role for an aspiring Educational Psychologist! You will be working within a specialist provision for children with Autism at a successful mainstream school. An interest in Autism is essential and volunteer placements with primary aged children with special needs is a bonus.

The school is located just a short bus ride from Manchester city centre and would be an easy commute on public transport!
