General Manager - The White Hart, Crawley - Managed House Estate (Pubs)*

Potentially a live-in position with no bills or council tax; couples considered.

The Company...

Harvey's Brewery is an established brewer, wholesaler and operator of public houses which has traded from Lewes since 1790. Harvey's has a turnover of 24m and brews a variety of styles of beer including Harvey's Best Bitter, Harvey's Old Ale and Harvey's Pilsner. The company also wholesale beer, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks across the south east and operates a fleet of 7 delivery vehicles from a central depot in Lewes. It operates 44 pubs including 10 pubs under direct management, as well as a brewery shop and web-shop.

The role...

The General Manager takes overall operational control, fully accountable for the pub's performance and that of their team. The role will involve managing the team and ensuring that the property is running at full capacity daily.

Key parts of this role are to ensure that all guests are receiving exceptional service through the training and development of staff.

General Manager roles generally will suit a seasoned operator, who is passionate about providing unforgettable service along with a love for a good quality food and drink offering. Successful General Manager applicants will be coming from a Food and Beverage background along with proven previous experience of managing within the pub trade.

The ideal General Manager will have a passion for hospitality (a love of great beer would help too!), along with the ability to think on their feet and be confident to run the operation, being the 'face' of the pub.

Pay: 31,000.00-35,000.00 per year
