Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team to prepare annd cook our festive offerings in our pub kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards.

This is a temporary role til the end of the year.

With Christmas coming up were after someone to lead our kitchen for our Christmas menu, which will mostly be pre-ordered meals at set times and set hours in December for the public. Some buffets too.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality output. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations. Provide excellent service during meal times, including plating and serving dishes when required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude towards learning and development. A passion for food and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 21 per week
