We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food & Alcohol service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of staff, including chefs, servers, and kitchen personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
Coordinate food production schedules to meet customer demand efficiently
Monitor inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in hospitality, food safety, and customer service
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas at all times
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to uphold the establishment's reputation
Assist in planning menus, special events, and promotional activities as required
Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and employment legislation
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities
Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to effectively lead teams and interact with customers
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel management is highly desirable
Barista experience or background in beverage service is advantageous
