Job Summary

The Alpen is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. It is a traditional style pub with function room and busy bar upstairs. This role would suit someone with experience locking up and cashing tills as both will be included in the role.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers, providing friendly and efficient service while taking orders and answering queries. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels as needed. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and patrons. Closing the building safely and securely on quieter shifts.

Qualifications

Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to help customers enjoy their experience. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team are essential attributes for success in this role.
This role would suit someone who has worked in a traditional pub environment for 2-3 years and is comfortable working alone on quieter shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
