The Role
As a Public Area Cleaner, this role is critical to maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our Cafe, Attraction and Public Areas. You'll need to have attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant customer experience which will contribute to the overall success of the museum.
Responsibilities include
Perform routine cleaning tasks in public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and other communal spaces to ensure professional cleanliness and a welcome environment
Vacuum carpets, mop and/or sweep hard floors to maintain a neat and polished appearance.
Monitor and address any spills or stains promptly to prevent safety hazards
Clean and sanitise bathrooms regularly, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and the availability of essential amenities.
Empty bins in public areas and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment
Required Skills & Experience
High school education or equivalent
Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
