The Role
Hibberts LLP are thrilled to announce an expansion to their established and dynamic Children/Care team. They seek a Solicitor/Legal Executive to work collaboratively with an experienced team and handle a range of public children matters involving local authorities. Dependent on experience you will also perform your own advocacy.
The position offered is full-time and will be based at our Crewe offices. The small but unparalleled Care Team includes a head of department and a Legal Executive, together with dedicated and experienced support staff. The successful candidate will benefit from a collaborative and supportive team and personal development.
In this role, you will run a varied and interesting caseload consisting of pre-proceedings, applications for emergency protection orders, care or supervision orders and placement orders and discharge of care orders.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience working in this niche area of law, and they will have knowledge and experience with the Public Funding system (Legal Aid). You will be able to manage your own case load, whilst demonstrating exceptional time management and organisational skills as well as being able to work autonomously and effectively. You will be client-focused in your approach, effective and confident in your communication with colleagues and clients alike.
Candidates should apply if they have a minimum of 3 years PQE as a Public Children Law Solicitor or Legal Executive. Ideally they will already be on the Law Society's Accredited Children Panel or are interested in working towards accreditation. They will have excellent communication skills in communicating with Clients, Local Authorities, other professionals and colleagues.

Working Hours:
Monday-Friday, 36.25 hours
Holidays:
33 days inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas Firm Closure.
Salary:
35,000 to 50,000 dependent on experience
