Alongside our physical retail presence, KD Supply operates a growing digital platform through its website and mobile application, offering nationwide delivery and enhanced accessibility for professional customers. As the business continues to expand its market presence, product range, and customer base, effective public relations and brand communication have become increasingly important.

Job Purpose

The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for managing KD Supply's public image, media communications, and stakeholder engagement. The role focuses on building brand awareness, maintaining a positive corporate reputation, and supporting business growth through strategic communication across traditional media, digital platforms, and community channels--particularly within the UK nail and beauty sector and multicultural markets.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPublic Relations Strategy & Brand Management

Develop and implement public relations strategies aligned with the company's commercial objectives and growth plans. Maintain and enhance KD Supply's brand reputation across all public-facing platforms. Ensure consistent messaging across press releases, website content, social media, and promotional materials.

Media & Communications Management

Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, and company announcements. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, influencers, and industry publications. Respond to media enquiries and coordinate interviews or press opportunities when required.

Digital & Community Engagement

Support online brand presence through website updates, social media coordination, and app-related communications. Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to strengthen brand trust and visibility. Monitor public feedback, media coverage, and online sentiment, reporting insights to senior management.

Campaigns, Events & Stakeholder Relations

Assist in planning and promoting marketing campaigns, product launches, exhibitions, and industry events. Coordinate community outreach activities and partnerships within the nail and beauty sector. Support internal communications to ensure staff are informed of key company messages and initiatives.

Reputation & Issues Management

Identify potential reputational risks and support the development of response strategies. Ensure communications comply with UK advertising standards and relevant regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of media coverage and PR activity for reporting purposes.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in public relations, communications, or media-related roles. Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Experience managing media relations and brand communications. Ability to plan and execute PR campaigns and manage multiple deadlines. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

Experience within retail, wholesale, beauty, cosmetics, or lifestyle sectors. Familiarity with multicultural or Vietnamese-owned business environments. Knowledge of digital communications, social media platforms, and online brand management. Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
