We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Training and Service Delivery Officer in our Public Service Centre. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the team/Department you will be joining:
The Public Service Centre is first point of contact for South Wales Police and is responsible for receiving and resolving enquiries and reports from the public and partners, through 999, 101, and digital contact. There are also 8 stations providing a face-to-face service to the public.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training and Service Delivery Officer, in our Public Service Centre, at Police Headquarters, Bridgend.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
The role is focussed on the professional development of our teams, to deliver a high standard of customer service at first point of contact. This covers a number of learning packages, from initial training, dispatch, pursuit training and the delivery of Continuous Professional Development Days. This role supports the learning of 400+ staff in our team.
This role includes:
Conducting Training Needs Analysis aligned to changing process and IT developments in the organisation.
Preparing Training Material for a blended learning approach, from classroom inputs, e-learning and briefing documents for corporate delivery.
Supporting the Public Service Centre Manager is delivering training in line with resources for operational business and to deadlines.
Ongoing review of Training material to maintain standards and keep current.
Identify areas for improvement and factor into training schedule.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
The skills and experience required are outlined in the Role Profile and will need to be evidenced in your application. Skills include:
Experience of call centre/control room environment.
Leadership skills
Excellent communication skills across a range of channels, oral, written, presentations.
Must have experience in preparing management reports/documentation.
Experience of dealing with the public and partners.
The role is Monday to Friday, including critical dates but excluding public holidays. Working between the hours of 0800hrs and 2200hrs.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
