Job Overview




An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Instructor to join our excellent community pulmonary, heart failure and long covid rehabilitation team. The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team and be supported by the Rehabilitation Team Lead, Clinical Specialists and other Rehabilitation Clinicians.





The role involves the delivery of community based rehabilitation classes across Leicestershire. This includes completing patient assessments and walking tests and assisting clinicians with the delivery of group exercise and education sessions.



The Community Rehabilitation Team is currently going through an exciting period of service development and growth so this position is an excellent opportunity for someone to join the team and grow and develop alongside it.



The post is permanent and will involve travel across Leicestershire to provide rehabilitation in several locations.

It is essential that you hold a full UK valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes.

Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)



The role predominantly involves working closely with patients in an exercise class setting but also includes some responsibility for the administrative aspects of pulmonary, heart failure and long covid rehabilitation. Applicants need to be motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills and need to demonstrate they are hardworking and conscientious as well as friendly and approachable. Some basic knowledge of pulmonary, and/or cardiac, long covid rehabilitation is expected and experience of working with members of the public is essential. Previous experience of working in a health care or exercise setting is essential as is previous experience of working in a team.
