About the Role

We are currently seeking a

Time-Served Mechanical Fitter / Engineer

with experience in pumps and rotating equipment to join our busy workshop team. While the role is primarily based in-house, occasional site work may be required. Candidates with experience working on gearboxes, fans, or motors will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Complete overhaul of engineered pumps, including disassembly, inspection, repairs, reassembly, and testing Service and maintenance of a wide range of industrial pumps and associated components Occasional site visits - flexibility required Fault finding and knowledge of control systems is advantageous Accurate completion of job documentation and service reports Work collaboratively with the fitting and quotation team to meet project deadlines

Requirements

Time-served Mechanical Fitter / Engineer with verifiable qualifications Solid understanding of engineering tolerances and precision work Previous experience working with pumps or rotating equipment in sectors such as Industrial, Chemical, Power Generation, or Water industries Full UK driving licence (clean)

Positive, proactive "can-do" attitude Organised and able to meet deadlines Clean and professional appearance Physically fit - some manual handling required (mechanical aids provided) Willingness to work flexible hours when required

39 hour week (Mon-Thur : 8.00-16.30, Fri: 8.00-15.30) - 1/2 Hour lunch Remuneration Range : Starting 27K - 39K+ depending Experience & Qualifications. Plus overtime Overtime paid at time and half and double time 21 working days holidays plus public holidays Company Pension PPE Included Training and development opportunities
