Job Summary

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in the strip down, inspection, repair, and reassembly of a wide range of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. This position involves both

workshop-based fitting

and

occasional site work

at customer premises, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks.

Responsibilities

Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps and rotating equipment. Diagnose mechanical faults and determine repair solutions. Carry out precision fitting, alignment, and testing of components. Attend customer sites to perform repairs, servicing, and installation of pumps. Use hand tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery safely and effectively. Maintain accurate records of work completed. Support and mentor less experienced team members when required.

Requirements

Practical, hands-on approach with strong mechanical aptitude. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Good attention to detail and pride in quality work. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Previous workshop or engineering experience is beneficial but not essential - full training will be provided.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within pump, rotating equipment, or engineering sectors. Strong mechanical knowledge with fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Competent in the use of workshop tools and machinery. Willingness and flexibility to travel to customer sites when required. Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail. A proactive team player with a strong work ethic. Clean Driving License

Desireable

Previous pump repair/servicing experience. Experience of site work, including installation and commissioning. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Pay: 35,000.00-37,000.00 per year
