Job Summary

We are seeking a Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating saw equipment to cut, punch and prepare materials with precision and safety. This role requires understanding of fabrication processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. The Saw Operator will contribute to the production of high-quality components, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of saw machinery, including band saws, punch brake, ensuring accurate cuts according to technical drawings and specifications. Set up and adjust saw equipment, tooling, and fixtures to optimise performance and precision. Perform routine maintenance on saw machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Measure materials accurately using hand tools and basic math skills to ensure correct dimensions Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Inspect finished components for quality control, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Experience

Proven experience operating saw machinery in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of metal work, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes. Familiarity with hand tools, tooling setups, and basic maintenance procedures for saw equipment. Experience with grinding, welding, and working with sheet metal is advantageous but not essential Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy production setting. Candidates should possess good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety guidelines meticulously. Prior experience in fabrication or mechanical roles will be highly regarded for this position.

Pay: 14.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
