Salary: xc2xa324,909 - xc2xa325,116 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 10.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working days for the position is Monday to Wednesday.
We are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our wonderful support staff team at Abbeyhill Primary School, who can bring knowledge, experience, vitality, flexibility, and a passion for helping our pupils develop and grow through planning and providing high quality learning experiences.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a school environment or childcare setting.
Abbeyhill Primary is a co-educational and non-denominational school located in the heart of Edinburgh, overlooking the Palace of Holyrood House and Arthur's Seat. The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager.
We pride ourselves on being at the heart of our community with strong links to the Palace, local businesses and the annual Colony of Artists festival. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
