The Role
We're seeking a
Purchasing & Buying Manager
to join our growing Company whilst our current Manager is on maternity leave. We have recently changed role structure to sperate warehouse duties & buying. Some of the key parts of this role are supplier partnerships, and product volume control. You'll play a vital role in our product journey--ensuring we deliver the right products, at the right time, with the right impact.
This role reports directly to the
Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing of all stock and sundries (excluding office sundries)
Handling of all import shipments; this includes all legal documents & declarations.
Receipting in shipments and adding in applicable charges
Inventory control across all Goodman Bros brands
Using sales data from Directors to adjust/create min/max stock holding levels
Creation of all products and Bill of Materials. Ensuring all sales data and export information is added.
Ensure sales data is fed into WMS to guarantee correct stock levels.
Use WMS to pull overstock and deadstock figures to pass to directors.
Warehouse H&S procedures and risk assessments
Oversee of said WMS and sales orders
What We're Looking For
Significant experience as a
Buying Manager
or
Senior Buying Manager
in household, jewellery, accessories, or gifting.
Strong team leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching and mentoring.
Commercially savvy and highly analytical, with advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
Deep understanding of supplier strategy, product development, and QC processes.
Working knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
Confident communicator and collaborator across all levels of the business.
Able to work at pace and adapt to shifting priorities with ease.
