The Role


This role requires the holder to take responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of purchase ledger processes within the team ensuring accuracy of data.

Responsibilities:



Processing purchase invoices and credit notes.

Inputting purchase invoices.

Matching purchase invoices to purchase order system.

Creating credit notes.

Process supplier payments.

Liaise with suppliers both written and verbal communication.

Handling enquiries on accounts.

Manage discrepancies and provide a solution.

To assist with any other tasks within the Finance Department as required.

Ensure familiar with the Company's financial regulations and delegated scheme of authority.

Ensure the Company Health and Safety safe working practices are always observed.

Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.

The job holder will be required to undertake such flexible and additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfillment of the duties required by the position.

Requirements for the role



Skills, Knowledge & Experience



Previous experience working in a similar role.

Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office, Excel and competent user of internet and email.

Understanding of finance systems and standardised processes.

Effective at working under pressure, managing priorities and using time efficiently to might tight deadlines.

A can-do attitude and problem solver.

Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.

Previous experience of working with finance software systems i.e. Compleat / Sage would be benefical.
