Job Description

We're seeking a meticulous and reliable Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in keeping financial records clean and up to date. You'll play a key part in ensuring our suppliers are paid correctly and on time, and that our accounts reflect the true financial picture.

Key Responsibilities



Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies Maintain the purchase ledger and ensure all entries are correctly coded Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding items Assist with month-end procedures and reporting Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed

Requirements



Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 23,000.00-26,000.00 per year
