With a growing portfolio and a dynamic team, we're seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to support our finance operations and contribute to our continued success.

Role Overview:


As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you'll be a vital part of our finance team, responsible for processing invoices, maintaining supplier accounts, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with broader accounts payable tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid finance background who enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Accurately process invoices, payments, and expenses into Sage 50. Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor company accounts. Maintain and update financial records to ensure compliance and accuracy. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Handle supplier and internal queries regarding financial transactions. Manage site petty cash returns and journal entries in Sage. Process payments via bank transfer. Support budget tracking and financial forecasting. Provide audit support with necessary documentation. Manage your own set of UK sites and assist others as needed. Undertake general finance administration and ad hoc duties.

What We're Looking For:



Previous experience in a finance or accounting role. Strong attention to detail with sound numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably Sage). Good understanding of accounting principles and processes. Organised, efficient, and a great communicator. Able to work both independently and collaboratively. Willingness to grow and take on varied finance tasks.

Desirable:



A qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline. Experience in property, student accommodation, or hospitality. Familiarity with UK VAT regulations and financial compliance. Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchase ledger and office admin roles.
