About the role
We are a family run company looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance Department. This role reports into the Head of Finance and whilst having the primary responsibility for the purchase ledger will also have the opportunity to support the month end processes and management reporting.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the Purchase Ledger including month end reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Ensure all invoices are loaded in a timely manner using the accounts payable automation system
Provide detailed reports on a monthly basis
Carry out analytical reporting as and when required
Support with the preparation of month end accounts
Carry out analysis of purchases and circulate reports in a timely manner
Support with the preparation of VAT and PPT returns
Support purchasing with invoice and price queries
Respond to ad hoc finance requests from the management ream
Education and work experience-
Educated to at least A level standard, ideally with finance experience however training will offered for the right candidate.
Please note that the rate of pay is dependent on experience.
