Long established Kent family firm in the automotive industry are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software systems.
Duties
Process and manage purchase invoices in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of all transactions within the accounting software
Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is up-to-date
Assist with accounts payable functions, including reconciliations and payment processing
Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or issues
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation
Requirements
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial information effectively
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
