Purchase Ledger Clerk (Part-Time)

An exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk has become available within our finance team. As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be ensuring we are proactive in our supplier relations, ensuring we are providing accurate and timely payments to our suppliers. This part time position will be 22.5 hours over 3 days per week.

What will you be doing day to day?

Matching purchase order information and delivery notes to invoices and gaining approval for processing. Processing approved purchase invoices, credit notes and staff expenses in Sage Ensure the smooth running of the Purchase ledger, including housekeeping of terms and contact details. Investigating and working with colleagues at all sites to resolve supplier queries promptly. Reconcile statements and assist with month end ledger close down. Assisting the management accountant to prepare supplier payment runs. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide support to the rest of the Finance team as needed. Answering the telephone and general finance administration as required.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in accounts payable / purchase ledger Proficient in Sage accounting software Previous experience with Xero would be beneficial Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and time management skills Confident with Excel and general office applications
