Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: 28,000- 30,000

Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a leading financial services business based in Leeds City Centre. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations, while supporting the broader finance function. Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase ledger invoices through accounting systems and online portals.
• Distribute monthly credit card statements and track/chase expense claims.
• Process weekly payment runs.
• Monitor purchase ledger mailbox and respond to internal and external queries.
• Process expense claims (cash and credit card) weekly.
• Handle petty cash transactions.
• Complete weekly bank postings and match payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Contribute to process improvements proactively.
• Support the finance team with projects as requested by senior team members.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role is essential, ideally gained within a big business
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
