Job Description

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an industrious team in Birkenhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the thorough and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Accurate processing and coding of invoices.
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques.
Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports for senior staff.
Assisting with month end reporting.
Adhering to company policies and procedures in all tasks.
Assisting with other accounting projects as needed.

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal staff.
