Based in the South East of England, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of aerospace components, materials, and services to support our operations and maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and purchase aircraft parts, consumables, and engineering materials from approved suppliers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and MRO providers.
Manage inventory levels to ensure availability without overstocking, balancing demand and lead times.
Monitor and expedite open orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contract terms.
Evaluate supplier performance and participate in audits and supplier reviews.
Work closely with engineering, stores, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with project and operational needs.
Ensure all purchases are made in line with aviation regulations and company procedures.
Maintain accurate procurement records and assist in forecasting and budget planning.
Requirements:
Previous purchasing experience in the aviation or aerospace sector (minimum 2 years preferred).
Understanding of aircraft parts (ATA chapters, PMA parts, traceability requirements).
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of EASA/CAA regulations relating to parts sourcing and certification is highly desirable.
