Working closely with all departments across the company, ensuring a smooth purchasing process, by keeping material flowing for production while keeping inventory levels and costs to a minimum.
Key Responsibilities:
Running of reports in Operations system to review stock levels and requirements
Raising purchase orders as required for the production process
Reviewing stock levels of consumable items and ordering as required
Reviewing and chasing outstanding / overdue orders
Processing BOM changes as requested by the engineering department
Processing of material requiring secondary processes
Communication with suppliers on rejections and delivery discrepancies
Support of stock taking process both for year-end stock take and as required
Escalation of issues affecting short term and long-term plan and customer orders
Analysis of reasons for stock outs and stock discrepancies
Experience & Skills:
Understanding of manufacturing processes / previous experience in manufacturing environment
Good communications skills - both internal and external
Strong Excel skills and knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
