Due to continued growth and an expanding product portfolio, Strickland MFG UK is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Administrator to join our established Purchasing Department.

General Purpose



The Purchasing Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Purchasing Department. This role requires a detail-oriented and highly organised individual capable of managing high volumes of purchase orders, supplier communications, and administrative processes efficiently. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring smooth purchasing operations, supporting the team in meeting departmental objectives, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities



Purchase Order and Invoice Administration



Process a high volume of purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Check invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Verify current prices against supplier price lists and update records accordingly. Handle and process import and export paperwork to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate purchasing records, databases, and filing systems for easy retrieval and audit purposes.

Supplier Communication



Manage incoming and outgoing calls with suppliers, dealing with queries promptly and professionally. Handle and respond to high volumes of supplier emails in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate important feedback from suppliers to relevant internal teams. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.

Team Support and Compliance



Provide day-to-day support to the Purchasing Department to help achieve departmental and business objectives. Ensure compliance with internal processes, company policies, and relevant regulations in all purchasing activities. Support the wider purchasing team with general administrative tasks as required. Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and supplier service levels.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 27,500.00 per year
