CBL are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement operations. Working in a close knit and friendly team, this vital role includes processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. CBL (Clive Barford Limited) is a long established, family-owned construction equipment sales and rental company operating from 7 depots across the southern half of the United Kingdom.
Creation of purchase orders and managing any open orders with suppliers until completion.
Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
Accurately convert sales orders into contracts on our internal systems, liaising with fields sales to resolve queries.
Collaborate with departments such as our sales and depot teams.
Provide reports as required to management.
Provide cover for other members of the Purchasing department when required.
Assist in admin tasks related to Sales, Purchasing and Logistics
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support would be an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
