We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the procurement process by managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain operations and contributing to the overall success of our organisation.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms, ensuring best value for the company.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data within our ERP systems.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in logistics planning to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Support the purchasing team in evaluating supplier performance and resolving any issues that may arise.
Assist in the development of purchasing strategies that align with organisational goals.
Experience
Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is advantageous but not essential. .
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively sell ideas and solutions to suppliers.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
