Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the sales department to translate customer order requirements into accurate procurement specifications, ensuring clear and timely information flow.
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery reliability, and service performance, while building and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Review and verify supplier invoices for authenticity and compliance with company financial and accounting standards.
Issue and manage purchase orders (POs), monitor delivery schedules, follow up with suppliers, and ensure on-time, in-full fulfilment.
Work collaboratively with production, planning, warehouse, finance, administration, and quality assurance teams to synchronise supply chain activities with operational priorities.
Monitor and report on key procurement and logistics metrics, including cost savings, supplier lead times, and vendor performance ratings, supporting data-driven decision making.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to manage both domestic and international shipments, optimising inbound and outbound logistics while ensuring internal teams are prepared for material receipt or dispatch.
Manage the purchasing of general office supplies and consumables, ensuring cost-effective and timely replenishment of day-to-day business needs.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of procurement and logistics documentation for internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, FSC).
Generate production job orders to support manufacturing activities and ensure seamless handover to production teams.
Provide responsive support for administrative or operational tasks as required by departments or management.
Seek opportunities to streamline procurement processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and drive cost optimisation initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain coordination or similar roles is desirable.
Familiarity with international shipping and customs processes.
Experience with supplier performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with good attention to detail.
Confident communicator, able to work effectively with suppliers and colleagues.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Mandarin Chinese language skills are essential.
