Forecast and optimise inventory levels for both perishable and non-perishable goods to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Develop sourcing strategies and manage inbound logistics across international suppliers for ingredients and packaging.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on quality, reliability, ethics, and cost.
Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure best value while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.
Maintain strong long-term supplier relationships and conduct ongoing performance reviews.
Conduct market research in African-food ingredients to stay informed on trends, commodity pricing, and supplier capabilities.
Ensure all procured ingredients and products meet the company's quality standards and food safety regulations.
Assess and mitigate supply chain risks such as shortages or external disruptions.
Manage procurement budgets, drive cost savings, and implement process improvements.
Forecast price trends and analyse their impact on profitability.
Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance to align purchasing with business needs.
Support new product launches by securing required ingredients and packaging.
