We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to our operations. Duties
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Manage supplier relationships to secure quality products at competitive prices.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimise value.
Oversee purchase orders and ensure accurate processing within ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
Analyse market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs based on production schedules.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal standards, and ethical procurement practices.
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.
Experience
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Strong familiarity with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms.
Demonstrable negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms.
In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain processes, and inventory management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical capabilities coupled with strategic thinking.
