Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team in the ECO4 and renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring building materials and renewable energy products, ensuring that supplies are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project timelines. This position requires strong negotiation skills, familiarity with ERP systems, and a solid understanding of construction materials, wall insulation, boilers, and renewable energy solutions used in retrofit projects.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition to order placement, ensuring timely delivery of construction materials, wall insulation systems, boilers, and renewable components such as solar PV and heat pumps
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules, securing the best value for ECO4 projects
Monitor stock levels and forecast future supply needs to avoid shortages and project delays
Liaise with surveyors, installation teams, and project managers to understand site-specific material requirements
Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new suppliers, particularly those offering sustainable and energy-efficient products
Ensure all materials comply with relevant ECO4 and PAS 2035 standards
Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality control
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of building materials, insulation systems, renewable technologies, and heating solutions including boilers, heat pumps, and solar PV
Experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics within the construction or energy efficiency retrofit sector is preferred
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Previous experience in an ECO4, construction, or renewable energy purchasing role would be an advantage

Pay: 24,420.00-26,000.00 per year
