Your purpose will be:
The Purchasing Supervisor oversees the daily acquisition of all hotel supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining strict adherence to Fairmont's global brand standards and ethical sourcing policies.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company
Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with department heads to determine purchasing needs and forecast demand
Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier information
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations
Coordinate and conduct regular inventory audits with storeroom personnel
Implement and maintain quality control measures for purchased goods and services
Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply
Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in procurement practices
Drive Accor's ESG goals by selecting eco-friendly vendors and identifying opportunities to reduce waste in the supply chain.
Qualifications
Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience
Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems
Relevant experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or facilities management environment.
Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards.
