Overview:

We are seeking a skilled

Python Developer

to join our team and support the designing, developing, and maintaining in-house applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Python and related technologies, with a focus on delivering efficient, scalable, and reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain in-house applications for the Derivatives trading desk using Python Implement automated testing with PyTest and ensure code quality through peer reviews Process, analyse, and manipulate data using NumPy and Pandas Manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure stable production environments Utilise Git-based workflows for collaborative development Work closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions Provide second-line support for in-house applications, diagnosing and resolving technical issues Contribute to evolving development practices and tooling within the team

Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (advantageous) Professional certifications in relevant technologies (advantageous)

Programming:

Python (3.10+), JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL databases

Data Handling:

NumPy, Pandas

Development Workflow:

Git-based branching

Testing:

PyTest

Software Development:

Continuous integration, iterative delivery, design, development, and support

Desired skills:

Large-Scale Data Management:

MongoDB, SQL Server, relational databases

Domain Knowledge:

Commodities trading

Front Office Experience

Testing Frameworks:

BDD

Cloud:

Azure

Backend Development:

FastAPI, RabbitMQ, Dramatiq

Web/Frontend Development:

React, Vue, or Angular
