Role Definition:




Accountable for the effective and efficient quality assurance/control of product and to monitor plant hygiene and practice and advise management of any issues.

Duties and Responsibilities




Ensure quality checks are carried out to the required schedule and standards. Ensure all products are labelled in accordance with legal requirements


Ensure temperature control is maintained through regular checks


Ensure collection of microbiological samples is done to schedule.


Manage Quality Assurance team to ensure adequate cover for all QA tasks. Advise department supervisors/ managers of any issues/concerns.


Ensure calibration of equipment is completed to schedule.


Compile non-conformance logs and take appropriate action. written procedures.


To adhere to all HACCP procedures and monitor CCP's where necessary.


Liaise with production team to ensure compliance to customer and legal requirements for food safety and quality


Manage returned stocks to ensure safe, cost effective rework or disposal


Identify and report any areas or ideas for improvement


Auditing of processes and procedures


Writing, reviewing and updating written procedures.

Knowledge & Experience



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required.


Competent in using Microsoft programs.


Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands.


Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurized environment.


Understanding of environmental requirements and responsibilities



Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday 7am-4pm


Rate of pay - 13.70 per hour
