Join Syngenta as a
QA Compliance Officer
in Grangemouth and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards, and driving continuous improvement across our operations. You will play a key part in upholding our commitment to excellence and safety in chemical manufacturing, while collaborating with diverse teams to implement best practices in quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and improve site Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations
Coordinate comprehensive quality audit programs and host external audits
Handle customer complaints, manage the site quarantine system, and oversee the exceptional release process
Oversee SAP QM activities and liaise with third-party inspection bodies
Provide training on compliance systems and conduct internal audits
Manage Process & Supplier Change data to ensure compliance with company Quality codes of practice
Develop and maintain site systems
Collate and report monthly performance measures to regional QA and site management
Qualifications
Proven experience in chemical manufacturing technical support or laboratory roles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and quality management software
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
SAP experience is an advantage
Knowledge on ISO 9001 and auditing processes is an advantage

Syngenta's Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate "safely, reliably and cost effectively" and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.
At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one formulation and packaging plant. A 5th plant due to open in 2026.
