We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong customer focus to join our team. This is a key position responsible for ensuring that all customer quality issues are promptly investigated, effectively resolved, and that sustainable improvements are implemented to prevent recurrence.
In addition, the successful candidate will analyse in-house yield and production data, identify trends, and drive improvements for future builds. You will also play a central role in facilitating and implementing shop-floor data capture systems, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our quality processes and product performance.

Key Responsibilities
Respond to and manage customer quality issues, ensuring timely investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure the resolution of customer complaints and process-related concerns through robust failure/root cause analysis.
Analyse in-house yield data and process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and enhance product robustness.
Lead focus and actions on process and system improvements to prevent recurrence of recurring issues.
Support the implementation and ongoing development of shop-floor data capture and analysis systems.
Work closely with Production Engineering and Production Supervisors to define and improve work instructions and quality considerations for both new and legacy products.
Generate and maintain key quality documentation including specifications, quality plans, process flow diagrams, and PFMEAs.
Ensure supplier quality performance through inspection of incoming parts, collaboration with suppliers to resolve issues, and driving preventive actions to eliminate future occurrences.
Promote and deploy new quality tools for problem resolution across the business, ensuring robust problem solving and effective countermeasures.
Utilise customer-based quality metrics to identify and drive continuous improvement projects.
Continually review, improve, and update quality documentation to ensure it meets required standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to drive quality improvements and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits as required.
Review of works order documentation prior to issuing to production.
Input to Contract Review and Change Note processing, ensuring quality requirements and considerations are communicated.
First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to AS9102.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, and CAPA.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools; ability to interpret and act on quality performance data.
Experience in supplier quality management and working with external vendors to ensure conformance and improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Analytical mindset, disciplined work approach, and excellent organisational skills.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills
Experience with AS9100, ISO 13485 or similar Quality Management Systems.
Previous experience in an electronics environment and knowledge of related IPC standard.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Previous experience in a customer-facing quality role.
