Priority for will be given to applicants that reside in close proximity to Poole.

Role Purpose





We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced contract test automation engineer to accelerate our transition from manual to automated testing. Youll play a crucial role in establishing our automation framework, mentoring our existing team, and driving the adoption of best practices in test automation.



This is a six-month contract position for a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our team. You will be working within the Product Engineering team alongside the Product and Development teams in an Agile environment to ensure a quality delivery of our product range.

Key Accountabilities



Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases across web, mobile and API-based applications using Playwright/Typescript Execute automated test suites and document testing results Identify, record and monitor bugs through to resolution Perform code reviews and contribute to test best practices Provide regular updates on automation progress, coverage and key metrics Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand project goals and ensure test coverage Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth testing cycles and timely issue resolution Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders

Professional and Technical Experience



6+ years experience in test automation and quality assurance Proficient in automated and manual testing techniques for web, mobile and API applications Proficient in Typescript and proven experience creating automation frameworks from scratch Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycles (STLC) and defect lifecycle Proficient in automated and manual testing techniques for web, mobile and API applications Experience of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle best practices Mentor other members of QA team Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
